On Saturday morning, 22nd December 2012 at the Royal Palace ceremonial ground, Her Royal Highness Princess Angelika Lātūfuipeka Halaevalu Mataʻaho Napua Okalani Tukuʻaho, received her kava in honour of her having attained dual Master’s degrees from the Australian National University (ANU).

The Princess had graduated with a Master’s degree in Management in 2010 and a follow-on Masters of Business in 2011. The ceremony was previously scheduled but then was postponed due to the passing of His Late Majesty, King Siaosi Tupou V.
Today’s ceremony traditionally formalizes the Princess’s achievement in the presence of Their Majesties, King Tupou VI and Queen Nanasipau’u. Also attending were the Heir Apparent, HRH Crown Prince Tupouto’a ‘Ulukalala, HRH Prince Ata, Members of the Royal Family, and friends and kinfolks from Tonga and abroad. The Princess believes that “education is for everyone regardless of your background or who you are and where do you see yourself in life – it is an important tool to one’s life and I encourage everyone to prioritize education and consider it as a means for personal and professional growth.”
Her Royal Highness is presently the High Commissioner of Tonga to Australia; a capacity she commenced with since August 2012.
Prior to undertaking postgraduate studies in Australia, the Princess worked at the Tonfon/TV Group of companies from 2004 to 2008. In 2004, she graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the International University in Geneva, Switzerland. She is also an ex-student of Queen Salote College and the Tonga Side School.
Her Royal Highness is the eldest child and only daughter of Their Majesties, King Tupou VI and Queen Nanasipau’u.
